In the early period of Korea’s economic growth, the government which had complaints about short-lived incandescent lamp was looking for a lamp manufacturer who can produce long-life high efficiency lamp.

The government awarded KS factory certification to WOOREE Lighting and commissioned the production of long-lasting lamp

Based on know-how of WOOREE in exporting to lighting companies such as GE and Philips, the WOOREE successfully produced and supplied long-lasting and high-efficient lamps. The government had granted the brand name “Jang-su” meaning long life time
